Bout of Books Update! (Day Five)

I have had a rather productive little Bout-of-Books so far! I’ve not been overly involved in the activities and such, but I’ve been enjoying just reading heaps of books and getting some finished that I’ve been wanting to read for a while!

So far for Bout-of-Books, I have read:

  1. A Study in Scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle
  2. The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion
  3. The Canterville Ghost by Oscar Wilde
  4. The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka
  5. Doctor Who and the Planet of the Daleks by Terrence Dick
  6. The Word Ghost by Christine Paice

I have started:

  1. Some Do Not by Ford Madox Ford
  2. Persuasion by Jane Austen

If you saw my Bout-of-Books sign up post, you’ll see that I have deviated from my intended list a bit, but since that was a pretty easygoing list, I’m not overly concerned. I am hoping to get some more of Some Do Not read, though I don’t think I’ll be finishing it this week. I’m not sure I’ll finish Persuasion either, but that’s fine.

I’m still hoping to read These Broken Stars over the weekend, but if I don’t I’m not too worried, as I’ll probably end up reading it next week!

I’ve been slightly delayed, as I’ve been trying to write reviews as I go, went to see The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies and have work this afternoon and tomorrow.

I’m still pretty impressed with all I’ve got done so far, even if some of the books are very little.

  1. An impressive amount of reading! I just finished Sense and Sensibility for bout of books, and I was thinking of reading Persuasion as my next Austen novel. How are you liking it so far?
