I have a huge, monstrous, gigantic TBR pile. Forget pile, it’s a mountain. Climbing that mountain gets more and more difficult the longer I exist, as I just keep buying more books! After the hauls of the past few weeks, my list has gone from 250+ to… oh heaven knows. So this winter break, I fully intend to get cracking on getting this list down.
At least this list will give me some accountability!
I’ve read Mrs Dalloway before, for year 11 English and I loathed it entirely. My good friend has told me to give it another chance and now I have no choice, as it is on next semester’s reading list for Modernism. Fan-bloody-tastic.
I really want to try another Bronte sister. I’ve read Jane Eyre many times. I have tried and failed to read Wuthering Heights on three occasions. I started The Tenant of Wildfell Hall and got distracted… Agnes Grey is short and apparently very good.
Gone Girl is a bandwagon I haven’t leapt on yet, so I am interested to see what all the fuss is about.
The Bell Jar and Fahrenheit 451 are books I feel I should have read, but have not.
Goodbye to All That will possibly make up part of my honours year next year. I’m hoping to focus on WWI Literature, unless I think of something else before that. I’m slightly tempted to change to study Robbie Burns… Not sure.
How It Feels is basically a book I bought very, very cheaply which is taking up a lot of space on my bookshelf.
I adore the Call the Midwife TV program, so the book will hopefully be right up my alley. I like nursing memoirs a lot!
My friend gave me Three Men in a Boat and as yet, I haven’t read it. I’ve heard all good things, so giving this one a read!
Georgian London: Into the Streets looks really interesting. I love learning more about London!
